Before I begin to give a speech, I would like to invite you to thank to Allah the Almighty, Who has given us Mercy and Blessing, so we can meet together in this blessing place. And also I don't forget to deliver sholawat and salam to our prophet Muhammad SAW, Who has brought us from the darkness to the brightness, so we are always in the right way.
Ladies and gentlemen
It be a great honour for me, to stand right here in front of you all to give a speech about education under the title "What happen with our education?" in this National Education Day or HARDIKNAS.
To begin this speech, I would ask you two things about our education. What happen with our education? Is our education well enough or bad enough if we compere with other country?
If you have ever heard about the news last year about our international education rank, you would be surprised. As quoted form Education for All (EFA) Global Monitoring Report 2011 which is published by UNESCO and launched in New York on Sunday, 1/3/2011, our international education rank is at 69th place from 129 surveyed countries all over the world. This rank is lower than in 2010.
It opens a question that runs in my head, what happen with our education? Indonesia is a great country with many talented young generations. It was undoubted again that there are so many Indonesian students who win the international education Olympiads such as mathematics, chemical, physics and other. But why our international education rank is still low. So what happen with with our education?
Our government had made some policies which relate to the improvement of our educational standard by improving the national examination (UN) standard which rise year by year. Our government also made an effort to improve our educational standard by improving the teachers' quality with a programme which well known as "Sertifikasi". But why our education rank never change. So what happen with our with education?

So what happen with our education?
But sooner I realize one thing. Our education rank actually depends on one thing, only one thing. Our education rank depends on us. Good or bad the education of the countries depend on their students. If we want to change our bad educational paradigm, lets begin with change our perspective with the terms of education itself by keep trying, keep studying, keep innovating, keep inventing for sake of our education.
Not much that I can say to day, just a few of words above that I can deliver to you at this moment, thank a lot for your attention and I also ask forgiveness for my mistakes, and the last I say:

Ladies and Gentlemen; Brothers and Sisters
Today, we all gathered here to commemorate the National
Education day, which falls precisely on May 2, 2011. The question is, what
should we do to make this celebration have a great meaning to the improvement
of our education system?
We cannot deny that the quality of our education is still
poor. It is a fact that our
education achievement is at the bottom within South-East
Asia countries, even we are left
behind our neighbors. There are many problems in our
education system.
For examples: many teachers are poorly trained both in their
subject matters and in
teaching skills, our teachers’ salaries are low, our
education fee is still expensive, and also
other crucial problems related with the curriculum, national
exam (UN), and teacher
certification.
Brothers and Sisters,
Ki Hajar Dewantara (1889-1959) a prominent of Indonesian
education established educational institutions named “Taman Siswa”. He is more
famous for its philosophy of “tut wuri handayani, hing madya mangun karsa, hing
ngarso sung tulada. Dewantara classified education goals with the term
“tri-nga” (three “nga-nga are the last letters in the alphabet of Java ajisak).
The first “Nga” is “ngerti’” is to understand “(comprehend / intellectual
aspects). ” second Nga ” is “ngrasa” is (feel aspects of affection), and The
third “nga” is “nglakonin” (teaching or psychomotor aspects). This
formulate educational goals that include aspects of cognitive, affective, and
psychomotor. According Dewantara, to organize themselves is the right of every
people, and therefore teaching should educate children to become independent of
human mind, thought and energy. Teaching should not be too focus on thoughts of
intelligence because it can separate the educated people with the ordinary
people.
May the Indonesian nation further enhance and educate children and create a productive learner, creative, innovative and useful to the nation and the State, create qualified human resources and independent that can meet global needs.

For That, let us as parents to participate in improving the
quality of our children’s education, do not hope too much and expect everything
related to education responsibility only of the teachers, but we also as parents,
must provide a deeper appreciation of educating our children.

I thank God for giving the health and
time to share a knowledge on this historic day, the day of national education.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Indonesia is a big country,
inhabited by hundreds of millions people includes islands spread widely. We
have been independent since 1945, but I think Indonesia is not yet independent
in terms of education. Although we have changed curricula almost every year,
but it proved that the Indonesian education has not been able to compete with
the developed countries. We tend to fall behind and have not been able to print
a great human resources class as developed countries.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I tried to draw a line to the back,
and I get the irony which is really disappointing. In this very rich country,
there are so many students drop out of school, do not have a uniform, and swim
to go to school because of the broken bridge. It is an irony in the midst of
our State assets.
Statistics of school buildings
damaged and have not been improved are also too much. It is happening in the
provinces that are far away from the center of government and gives continuing
negative effect on the education system in the province itself.
Of course, a child who does not get
an education will have difficulties in achieving a better stAndard of living in
his future. You've seen that a lot of ignorance and poverty arise because so
many crimes arising from poverty.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Education is a major key to get a
better state order. Through proper and best education, we are able to print
high-quality human resources, eradicate ignorance, and destroy poverty.
Therefore, let us together to be
students and teachers that are diligent, sincere, and keep trying without the
unyielding. We are Indonesia, a rich country that should have the best
education. Do not give up on the fate of our nation today, and continues to
struggle in gaining an independence education.
I would like to thank you all for

What is the meaning of education? And why does everyone need it? Is not the practice is not only educated people who are able to taste education, then why do we have to get an education in order to realize all the dreams you have in mind?
Ladies and Gentlemen ..
Everything requires mechanisms and theories to be done / is realized as we would like, and education is the source for the theory of everything can be done / realized according to what we expected.
If we want to have a healthy physical, spiritual clean of course we have to understand how to make sense of our physical and spiritual make us clean. In education we will be introduced to biology, and sociology. Education gives us a better understanding of the good, the theory is good, a good guideline and so, then everything is more realistic for us to realize.

Success begins with a good quality of self. He begins with an adequate insight. No ways we could be at a higher level without any qualification that we have. Through the education all into shape. A series of things we do not know ultimately makes our eyes open, able to digest and understand it as well as possible.
Education not only gives us provision to realize all our dreams. Education also makes us a better person. Personal mannered, understand personal ethics, personal know which wise and what is not, makes us more mature and humane.

Let prioritizing the importance of education. Let us Arm yourself with education is still weak. Let's make education as a start to make ourselves into better individuals. Success belongs only to the people who deserve to get it, and education will make us deserve to get success with the way we want to apply any rule of life and education that our ketchup.
